MEPS experience

So for the past two days I was in San Jose getting everything done that I needed to for the Marine corp. I must say the test wasn't that hard but the hard part was the next day also know as the physical and medical screening. It's a whole day long process that takes from 5 am to 3pm which is very tiring and annoying. If you plan on going don't expect anyone to be even a percent nice, they have to work with some of the most dumbest kids and a lot of the employees are bitter. You have to make sure everything about you is on point, such as not too much ear wax in your ears you can't have anything wrong with you that day even if it's a cold or else you'll have to come back another time and drive 3 hours. They take your blood, check your eyes and ears, drug test, and the worst part was these maneuvers you had to do. They consisted of a duck walk, walking on your knees, rotating your arms a bunch of times, but what really sucked was that was the last part for me. I had to wait in one room from 10 am till 3pm just for one thing to get done in my underwear. I actually missed the first part cause I had to use the bath room and was one second late so I had to wait another hour. If you are awaiting your physical and lunch is almost over you can't get lunch because you'll lose your spot and have to wait literally another 2 hours.
Well that was my experience usually everyone hates it cause it's a really long and dumb process. No one there really cares if you are dead or alive or what your purpose is there. Really

What would you do if Batman shoved you up against a locker and told you to give him your lunch money? (Hint: you're going to be on the wrong side of a beat down if you handle this badly, so choose your strategies/tactics/words carefully. :)

Ok well batman isn't the toughest of the super Hero's he isn't really a super hero when you think about their is nothing super about him. So I'll take off my shirt and he will see the big S on my chest. He will then be extremely surprised about who I am. Then I will use my freeze breath to freeze him and then take his batman gear that makes up batman and expose him for trying to be a bad guy to the bad guy. Ha ha after that is done and he isn't frozen anymore I will the. Punch him really hard to break his face then throw a dollar in his mouth.

What do I expect to see from the masterpiece academy? Well to start off I know a lot of my peers throughout the have lacked the ability to showcase what they actually care about or open up what they know. This is why i shall be excited to see what they have to offer, now for me I plan on giving a presentation that will really show the definition of what I am about and exactly what I love. I really hope to take In some information and actually see what these kids are up to. It'll be pretty exciting espically since I put a good amount of thought and time into mine. Let's hope for absolute chaos and in chaos I mean an abundance of knowledge and curiosity.

Journal May 12

Yesterday many of us celebrated Mother's Day, which was made a U.S. National Holiday by Woodrow Wilson 100 years ago.  Did you observe the occasion?  How do you show gratitude or affection to your Mom the other 364 days?  (If you want to de-personalize the topic: Why do so many public figures thank their Moms on camera so much more often than their Dads?)

When Mother's Day comes up I acknowledge the occasion by giving my mom a kiss and a hug. The rest of the year I tell my mom I love her everyday and let her know that I care. I think  that the camera aspect comes when people try to get likes on Facebook or Instagram. I mean I understand  how you want to share with those online that you care about your mom. In  my opinion people try to do everything online just to get likes and that's like the point syestem. Most people think there dads are trash or don't care, which is the sterotype of  most people. But in the court syestem and basically anywhere before the dad  even is given the option to talk woman get over 50% of the vote. Men are now not seen as a great figure but I think that's cause woman open up their feelings more and like to share their feelings.

What makes you angry and how do you deal with it?

What really makes me mad to a boiling point is ignorant immature people. Now a days not everyone has common sense , either they act ignorant or say dumb things. It's really annoying when not everyone you talk to is immature and doesn't have an intelligence good to comply with the things you
Try to say. It just really makes your day longer and harder. How I deal with it just go on by and know who to avoid. I can be around a group of people who just can't get an idea. Another thing that really makes mad is when I'm in a hurry to class and there's a group of people walking really slow how I deal with it is I'll walk right through cause I really don't care what anyone has to say.

Journal may 7th

Over the course of the year we've talked about the similarities and differences between fiction (the lie that tells the truth) and nonfiction (the truth that isn't objective). Explain how you and your life would be portrayed in a movie. Would the movie be focused on you, someone you know, or an event? Who would play you? Why? Please explain your answers.

If I were to make a movie about my life it would  be very exciting and keep you at the edge of your seat. I say that because my life has had ups and downs more than an elevator. It would focus on several people who have impacted my life the most. I would include the funniest parts that put me under the most stress and pressure. If I were to have someone play as me it would be Adam sandler cause he would know how to play me and react as if I would In certain situations. My life is a series of unfortunate events no pun intended, but those events have lead  me up to now and has made an impact on future decisions. The past is the past and the future can't be predicted that's why the present is a present.

BEGINNINGS

When I began body building two years ago I never thought it could lead up to a moment where I can use my physical abilities to provide a career for me. I'm enlisting to the Marine corps and the way they think and talk and work out is perfect for me. I'm a well driven individual and push myself harder and harder each day. I'm not the type to give up and now that I can put words into action and apply myself really contributed to my decision in joining the Marines. At first it was a struggle I worried everyday what I would do after I graduated. Now i look back and could've made this decision a long time ago. My passion for body building helped me become a real self disciplined  type of person. And that is key in the Marines . I love the fact I can learn about what I wanted to and prove what I know in dr Preston's open source learning. It takes a while to realize what your purpose is In this world and with this class it helped get me there.

Follow my blog!

The time is coming and I want to be able to reach out to those who want advice about bodybuilding or anything relating to a healthy lifestyle. If we can collaborate that would be great! And I want to be able to see what other people have to offer. With collaborating we can achieve excellence in keeping our bodies in good shape. Eat good look good feel good.

Journal may 2nd

What will you begin next month?

Next month I will be going to MEPS with the marine rucruiter to take the ASVAB test in order to enlist and find out my job. I'm really excited to join and in any way it will benefit my life. It has been a random decision I made but that's because I've had to put thought into it and make sure this is what I really want. Before I get shipped out I want to get a job in order to provide myself with money to train an change my diet. I'm going to start training hard in order to put myself in top shape before the marines really break me down. I believe the Marine corps is a great decision to better my future.

Journal may 1st

Happy May Day & International Workers' Day.  It's on most of our minds most of the time, but today is an opportunity to reflect on the question consciously: is America in 2014 the Land of Opportunity, or is it a rigged game that favors the wealthy?  Please support your perspective with at least one personal example and one from the media.

I believe the United States is the land of opportunity, the fact that you can do whatever you want without having someone dictate your decisions. In the U.S. we are spoiled and most don't realize it, the reason they say it's a rigged game is those who just look at the negitive of  our country. We as a whole think the upper class is just a scandal party  that might be true given some situations that have occurred in recent news. In our government there has been countless number of scandals just like the fast and furious bill, this aloud the U.S. To sell guns to drug cartels which in turned killed two federal agents. Now they are trying to take our guns away to prevent crime that makes up school shootings.  I wouldn't say it is a rigged game because almost anyone can become wealthy you just have to want to strive to be the best. It's not just the wealthy running the show it's the scandalous government screwing us. The opportunities the government does offer such as the military is a great way to benefit anyone's future that's why I'm going to enlist and try my hardest to provide a future for myself and my future family.

Journal April 30

When do you seek others' counsel in making a big decision, and when do you think it's important to take the plunge on your own?

When I seek others trying to make a big decision that  will affect them long term I notice those start to do all the right things to lead up to that. It's almost as if they change completely by dropping bad habits, creating new habitis, becoming more responsible and start a routine. I believe In every persons life they think of  making a big decision that affects their life and for me the time is now. During the last month of school I preparing and studying the things that actually matter. In order to move on in life you need to grow up and thing of the future. Many thoughts have crossed my mind to try to make a better future and for myself to make a big plunge into the future. I don't care what is going to make others happy because I know I'm going to be the in the end whose going to be happy. A fresh start is good and never be afraid of letting go to those things we harp on everyday.

DESIGN

In order to learn in the class room their is many elements that go into that. Not just the environment or structure of a class room is not the only way to learn, you can also pick up things on the way you wouldn't expect to pick up. Just like when I started to learn new vocabulary I began to use those words in conversations and didn't really notice I knew the meaning. You can use resources in the class room such as your peers to learn, other students carry information you wouldn't expect to know. That's why you should branch out and eloborate with them. Even posters on the walls can help you learn new things. Although the way the education syestem is brought upon and most students in school hate it, but use it to your advantage learn the things you want to learn not that you have to.

THE CROSSROADS BETWEEN SHOULD AND MUST

The crossroads of where I'm at in my life is what I want. I'm not doing what I should be doing or what I must be doing. I have plans to move to Las Vegas Nevada with my dad. Originally with body building he helped me so much and taught me what I know now. Las Vegas is body building central they have the Mr.olympia competition their every year. I can finally start training seriously with a nice structures house life. I will be helped with living because my dad has his own house and he's going to help me get a job. I want to pursue my dreams and make money at what I am good at and what I look foward to every day. In the process I will be going to school to get degrees in health and fitness and get a good job to provide for myself (meals, supplements, ect). I'm not doing anything that's forcing me to do so or because I have to. Life isn't should or must that doesn't make a perspective in my life right. That's some one else's thoughts so I don't exactly agree that life is should or must. I should do the right thing, or I  must do the right thing. I just do what I feel is right in my head.

PREVIEW OF COMING ATTRACTIONS

What I talked about in class was how I'm going to teach what I know. With bodybuilding it's hard to understand and get a deep meaning of what it is and what it's about. I feel if
I have someone interview me and follow me as I go through the day and how much work I put into training, eating and educating myself. I've seen many documentaries on body builders and when your watching the sweat and they are shaking trying to talk cause they haven't ate carbs for two weeks. You get a real feel for it, not only is a sport but it's a test of determination and ambition. If I were to do that it would put the cherry on top of what I'm really passionate about. You can see what I do when I'm around you but when it's time to put life aside and make body building  my life you don't see what happenes then. I'm really passionate about this and i can make it apart of my future when later down the road I can see this video and see the progress and have a resource to teenagers in body building.

Body building online resource

In the time I have spent researching what to do to make some gains in the gym. And whenever I have questions I talk I forums. A lot of body builders laugh at the forum information, but it can be a real good resource for those starting out or if you like sharing advice. Their is all kinds of people to send messages and find out information on body building or any other type of exercise you're into. The first one is Anabolicminds.com check it out you could learn something you didn't know and help better your physique and eating habits or what ever it is you need help with.

Resource of the day

WEBMD.com
The best website for knowledge of almost anything health related from side effects from drugs to symptoms of bronchitis. It's a very promising website many should look to for information about nutrition almost anything health related. Check it out it's helped me.

Is there an expert in the house?

If you are an expert in the art of body building here's a list of what i would expect
- past experience in body building shows
- supplementation knowledge
- nutrition
- ambition
- pride
- basic knowledge of all body parts
- knowledge of the endocrine syestem
- wanting to help others
- a beast
- a man or woman who is on tract with there training
- good habits
- being able to handle stress
- hard working
- the goal to be the best
- not to believe your the best
- be confident not cocky.

This is only a test (bodybuilding)

If someone in body building was to be tested I feel the test would be more of an essay. First off they would need to know basic knowledge of exercises and body parts. They would have to go into detail about these exercises and how they affect certain body parts. The test would also have to include nutrition information (Macros, nutrients, ect.) how nutrition plays an important role from different phases of a body builder. Posing would be a factor that's the true test to see your hard earned work be judged against other hard working body builders. In the armature field it's a different game people are trying to fight for the spot and the stage is what really makes or brakes your hard work. Body builders  are very strict with their training, diet and poses. Through the years I've watched constant videos of posing and the poses that go on stage. I would expect a body builder to know supplementation and protein synthesis. There is many different things that would go into the test. But you don't know what really goes on in body building till you see their every day lives and how they go about meal prep and sleep. A body builder should have knowledge of the endocrine syestem, knowing how hormones are affected during sleep; from what you eat, your mood, stress, all kinds of factors play into it.

My Generation

So we got to discussing generation x in my class today. And my teacher was discussing  how generation x is no longer in the media as before where that generation is the original slackers and the ones to mess everything up. But I think as the time goes on the generation before leaves the next one with all kinds of problems. Seems like every president doesn't know what to do and it feels like problems rise more everyday. I think my generation will change a lot of these problems. Were more about being reasonable instead of jumping to conclusions and causing a war. Their is enough secrets that the government hides from us that we could make a never ending book about it. Every generation has there problems but as time progresses we only become better and our minds are more devolped. Our ideas can be put in reality and our elder generation running the country right now doesn't care about us if they did they would put their best interest in running this country.

I entrepreneur

The person I'm looking to as an entrepreneur is Kai Greene. He is defined as an entrepreneur because he has to work on his own to build himself and sell his physique to judges. That is his main source of income, although I don't know if he owns or provides other goods and services but by the way entrepreneur was defined in my class I believe he is one.

In my opinion I'm not an entrepreneur mainly because I don't have the free time as I would like to go out and make money. Once I graduate highschool I will have a lot more opportunities to explore the world and use my ambition to put my ideas and social skills to use.

I believe being an entrepreneur In today's society is becoming more popular. Doing so isn't quiet easy, and as my class discussed yesterday we should teach how to think for yourself instead of following the norm, being able to work for yourself is one thing I believe everyone should obtain. That's a good  skill to obtain and if you can't then without them your not  able to make it without this type of pryramid ladder thing that you see in restarunts and  businesses.

My future. My meaning

Jacob Caldwell
Dr. Preston
Expository writing and composition
3/9/14

Growing up as a kid I would see my dad and always say to myself I want be like him. Some boys at a young age all want to say that but my reason in particular is because he is into bodybuilding and good at it. His whole life he has been in good shape. I saw pictures of him when he was 17 and I was amazed of how good of shape he was for his age. When my dad first introduced me to bodybuilding I was 11 and he bought me a curl bar and weights. He showed me some workouts and I hopped right on it. From then on I wanted to be big and strong. I was always a scrawny kid I didn't weigh a 100lbs till I was a freshmen. I wrestled for a few years and always at the lowest weight classes. When I was 12 I got arrested and got grounded for a long time. That summer I didn't have anything to do besides workout. I had a pull-up bar and a weight set. Those three months I gained 8 pounds of muscle and became obsessed with bodybuilding. I would sit at home and research different exercises and what to eat and how much protein I need to consume. From that point on I kept at it I never stopped and always kept trying to get better. When I was 15 I got in trouble at school a lot and was basically grounded for the year. This time I lived with my mom and I didn't have any weights. So I was stuck I couldn't workout, the next year I was doing better in school and was staying out of trouble. When my 16th birthday came up and my mom gave me two choices for a present. Either I could get my license or get a gym membership, I chose the gym membership. It has been a year and four months from that day and I am still making progress. Every day I look in the mirror and never feel satisfied because I can be better than the day before. Bodybuilding for me is an escape from all the drama and stress everyday life brings. Being at the gym getting stronger and seeing your physique change makes me feel euphoric. You get a rush after lifting heavy, and have a great sense of well-being. Most kids my age spend their free time being lazy and eating food that makes you lethargic, so they feel like they have a hard time being motivated to workout. When I lift at school and everyone is watching me, I don't feel confident or cocky. I feel angry because these kids just watch me lift while they don't do anything. I take every chance I can to lift, I don't let anything or anyone distract me from making gains in the gym. It's me I'm the only one that's there building my body, if you're into bodybuilding you should think the same. Eat for function not for pleasure, eating junk food and not consuming the correct nutrients isn't going to get you anywhere. When I want to eat I think of what will provide me with the nutrients; proteins, carbs and calories. I'm open to help others that are into bodybuilding as well. When I first started I wish I could have had a person tell me the things I know now. There is no such thing as too much information. This is what my future is, and I have the ambition to drive myself in that direction. Bodybuilding to me is life when I hear someone mention working out my ears open up and I listen. I think about it in my sleep, taking a day off the gym feels like being away from home.

My education on bodybuilding branched out into the science behind hormones also known as endocrinology. Those two go together like peanut butter and jelly. Hormones can be a difference from a man to a boy, in this sense it's being anabolic and building muscle. Without knowledge the endocrine system you fail to understand why you and how you build muscle. It's a difficult subject to venture into, but I'm interested because knowing how my hormones can affect my physical appearance can bring me closer to achieving goals. You can eat an apple and that could affect your hormones without a thought. What you eat and how much sleep can affect your hormones, and sense that reacts with the muscle development and protein synthesis.

When I began to body build I thought it was as easy as just eating and lifting. I'm sure that's what 90 percent of most people in the gym think you have to do. For me I realized there is a science behind it. What you hear from your parents and what you see in media shadows the actual art of body building. I branched out and began to see the other side. If I had a question I would search to find the answer. I want to maximize my fullest potential going beyond what your physical capability. When you have the mental capacity to be open to wisdom and simplicity of the hard work, you are able to achieve your goals and become better. I learned body building is like being an artist. You see different views of the body and how simple movements with weight can make a difference on lacking body parts. Body builders aren't meat heads; the stereotype of a bodybuilder has been shot down. Now a days body builders who are dedicated to being better than the best are doing whatever research they can get with 24 hours of a day. I learn something new every day and I'm open to new information, but that's limited to because people are biased toward what works for them. Everyone is different and what worked for
Dorian Yates most likely won't for you. My knowledge of body building is expanding like the universe, and won't stop till I'm not longer functioning.

From the semester in the fall I can't say I have used tools to better my passion. Because I don't know what tools I'm supposed to use. If I have question I get my information from an experienced body builder with knowledge, such as my dad. I don't feel the need to ask my generation questions because they don't have the answer. In my opinion Kids my age don't get the body building life style and what really goes into it. Just by looking at someone's physical appearance can tell me if I can ask them for advice. Why should I ask advice from a person without experience? My tools are staying with me and new ones are along the way. I like to go by the motto if it's not broken don't fix it. I fail to collaborate because I can't find a person with the knowledge I have obtained and those also don't have interest to go in deep into subject. How to fix it? You might say to go out and talk to others but I have that's why I made that statement. It's no ones fault, it's just people are not as informed or interested in the subject.

In the future I plan on proceeding with body building and endocrinology becoming a weights coach at the start. But while having a good job I want to go to school for endocrinology and get my doctorate. I have good training hands on with body building. And to get my certification to be a weights coach will just be the stepping stone. I want to be and endocrinologist and study anti-aging medicine. With the ambition body building brought me I feel I can accomplish anything I set my mind to. If I want it I'll work to the grave to get it. Body building is in my blood and every day I get up I look forward to getting my hands on some weight and make gains. My future is every meal and every workout it just brings me one day close to use my passion to help others with the same passion. I'm willing to sacrifice my time and money for my passion. I save over 80 percent of my money just so I can go to school and get my education to achieve the career I've dreamed of.

In the world we see people do outstanding things the common person can't. The ones willing to put in the time, effort and sacrifices are the ones admired because the people who are impressed with that image are the ones not doing it. So when you see these professionals on stage you sit in awe because the people in the seats don't have to go through the everyday struggle. In a way body builders do what people don't want to so when looked at these body builders with and outstanding body completion do the hard work for the people who don't. The presence of a body builder makes people turn heads. You look at that guy in aisle six at food max and he's wearing a tank top you notice his veins and muscles look outstanding and can't help to look twice. What impresses people is the ability to alter your genetics and make a god like physical appearance. Most don't understand that body builders who are dedicated eat to function, and every part of the day revolves around their physical appearance. The impressive part is on the surface and what you see. Not the struggle of being able to look that way.

Thoughts of Jacob

My blog isn't what I want it to be. If you view my blog you see that it's my course blog and my thoughts are put in the subject. A blog in my mind should be around a subject or a persons personal thoughts and expirences. For me accessibility to a computer is limited, not as an excuse but some of my peers blogs look up to date with post and have an awesome layout. My thoughts and cooporation are put in the class room where we LEARN. The internet is a universe of unlimited knowledge to anyone with acess to it.  Writing a post isn't hard at all but the hard part for me is the fact that this blog is used for school. In confusion of doing a post I'm not sure what input is required at times. We have a right to our opinion but I don't see how my opinion matters if I'm the only one looking at it. How are students suppose to know how there progress  if no one is there giving feedback. Look at it from a different point of view, yeah you could have 100+ blog posts over the required amount but what does that do for me? I have two comments from my class letting me know they like my thoughts but where's the foundation? Once introduced to this way of education  students have to adapt to doing this type of  corriculem. Everyone is different, what you think might be unacceptable could be magicifcant to another. This blog in the beginning was suppose to be  as a way to turn in assignments in my point of view. Gears switched and now we're suppose to post our passion and  what we are interested in.

Main points to put in thought;
1. Feedback! We're suppose to express our feelings and opinions but what are yours?
2. Grading scale. How do we know what's required of what we are graded upon.
3. Different point of views. Everyone thinks different when judging upon something there's a surface and a deeper meaning.

Journal 2/21

I'm doing good on my masterpiece  I just got a meeting with a owner of a wellness program. He's looking for people looking to have enthusiasm about individuals looking to better themselves.
This gets my foot in the door. My golden opportunity because this is where my experience begins. I feel like I am fit for this position. I can excel as a wellness trainer. I feel satisfied with my education I have a countless number resources I find new ones everyday on my own. Even before this project I would find resources that I can learn from everyday. I feel with my own ambition I can do what I please, I have drive to accomplish my dreams. When I have passion for something I get addicted to it, doing whatever I can to learn more about it and get more experience.

LAUNCH

During my time in high school I have obtained skills and intelligence from expirence from the inside and more of outside. I thought I wanted to be a nurse but that's was not just good enough. Anyone can be a nurse, go to school for two years get your bachelors and then get into the nursing program. But I wanted to go into further. Becoming a nurse is a set goal but that's not what I actually feel happy with. I love to workout, fitness and whatever subject that has to do it with (ex. Endocrinology). That's why I want to go I to coaching/ physical education. I don't want to be just a P.E teacher I want to be a role model for kids who are trying to better there physical appearance and obtain their goals. I like to learn about things I can do everyday to make me look and feel better. When you eat good you feel good and you look good. I don't see a reason to be lazy and not achieve a physical appearance. Some say cause they obtain "satisfaction" on how they look without eating right or proper exercise. Well just because you can be satisfied without taking care of yourself doesn't mean your healthy. Your body is like a machine it's composed of different parts that run on essential nutrients and proteins. Your mind might be satisfied with how you look, but on the inside your body is not satisfied. Just getting by when it comes to your body is not close to good enough. That's what I want  to go to school for kinesiology, endocrinology, physical therapy, hormone replacement therapy, bodybuilding. To have the right education to inform people on how to  keep orderly with taking care of themselves.

Hafta/wanna...

For most of the senior class this year we are ready to go. Most of everyone I talk to is doing there own thing and have a set plan for their future. So most students feel like as if this year didn't exist (as in they graduated last year) they would be on there path to there goals. I feel the same, not that it's a waste of time, but if I only had to go to school for two classes a day  i would have the rest of the day to get my responsibilities done. In case I have four elective classes. Which are; teachers assistant, weights, photoshop, and horticulture. Now take this however you want, but I generally feel like I can achieve satisfaction in a class even without going half the time. I don't have homework and if I did I wouldn't have time to. So I do feel as well like the rest of the classes I have are a waste of time. I learned how to photoshop my face on a character in a picture. Took three weeks, I learned the first day. That means in that class I sit down and do nothing, in my T.A class I sit, in weights I lift (and I have. Gym membership), and in my horticulture class I water and cater to plants.. So four hours of my day I could be outside where I have freedom to the food I want and work more hours and actually have more of a life. People don't realize it, senior year kids are saving money and also having to provide for themselves. I'm not lazy in school, I don't have "senioritis" I have AMBITION to pursue my goals. But I have to sit for four more months. I take my core classes seriously but I just feel like the rest of the day is a day where you feel like you didn't accomplish anything.

Life after

I graduate high school in under five months, an in these last five months I've been getting my life plan together. A year after high school I plan on going to Allan Hancock for my general ed. I will go year round that way I can finish in a year an a half. Then I'm going to go on to a four year college to get a degree to be a p.e. Teacher. When I get my degree and have started working I will be going back to school to become a physical therapist and get my personal training license. So when I become a physical therapist i can also work as a personal trainer. I'm fascinated with the body and being healthy. So I will be using the skills I have developed throughout the years of training in the gym, and my knowledge to help others and make good money at it. I'm currently working to save for school, and I will continue to make my dues for school.

Visual storytelling

When Visual story telling;

Use descriptive words that will make what your story come alive. The person your telling the story to was not  in the exact moment be sure to go in deep. They will only understand or see your story if you include words that have good meaning to your setting. Mention metaphors or a reference that helps the listener project the story in there mind. Use imagery on parts of the story that will catch the listeners attention the most.

Profile in courage

In class we watch a documentary called murderball. It was about these men who we're paralyzed and played wheelchair rugby, an Olympic sport.

These group of men who are from all parts of the country show pride in the fact they can't use there legs ( plus other body parts) and still be able to play a sport. These men are tough and use there disability as the motivation to strive. Everyone has a different story behind being paralyzed, or not having certain body parts. These men are more than just handicapped. They have a lot of courage and determination of this sport. It's exciting and helps you look at a different side of life.

The Choice

It's called the choice because the little girl doesn't have one and she can't make a call in her struggle. There is a choice you can let her live with chemotherapy which will damage her body and immune syestem and prob allow her to live till her 20s, or let her die. Preferably I would rather see my child (if I had one) I wouldn't want my last memories of her to be throwing up wasting away. If I knew the cancer want treatable id let the child die. Not for me not for anyone besides the child because I've lived through someone in cancer treatment and they spent millions to treat it. Two months later he was dead and left his wife and two children a 2 million hospital bill. You see that's just pointless let's spend all this money just to watch a man suffer. In my opinion cancer can be treated without chemo. Chemo destroys every cell in your body. Basically destroying your body till the cancer is gone. The little girl in the story was upset cause she couldn't play with a toy that was only for older kids. She wanted to play with it because she didn't think she would live to the age of required on the toy. I agree with her completely she wants to take advantage of every experience as a child she can before her times up. I would never let someone with cancer in my family take chemo. That is the dumbest thing in the world. People don't get it but doctors and the hospitals are corrupt. They really don't care about you they just care about getting paid. Just like a mechanic sees each car as another car. So in reality they are trying to "help" you but really there laughing behind your back because there going to be rich off one patient. Anyone on this planet I wouldn't let do it, popping 15 pills a day, losing your hair, losing weigh, losing hair, mood. All the stuff that makes people have a reason to live will be gone and now after the cancers gone the body there living in will be like a house with termites, just waiting to collapse. I think the parents of the story are selfish for endorsing this pain on their daughter. I read a story about a mom who treated her sons cancer with marijuana. But then CPS and the government try to take her child away for abuse. Excuse me but i don't know if you read that correctly but she treated her sons cancer with out having to kill his character. I feel for the author but he has to understand his daughter brings him happiness and if that was true he wouldn't make her live her last years killing herself slowly and expensively.
